Opera Neon, an Agent-based Browser that ‘Operates, Collaborates and Builds’

Opera’s latest creation tackles multiple tasks at once, understands user intent, solves tasks on their behalf and adapts on the fly.
Opera introduces the Opera Neon agentic browser, leading ‘a new era in which the browser becomes a digital assistant that operates, collaborates and builds’ through artificial intelligence (AI).
Designed as a collaborative environment between technology and the user, it does not just display pages. It can tackle several tasks at once, understand the user’s intent, solve tasks on their behalf and adapt on the fly.
Opera Neon has three main functions. First, Chat with Neon, which allows users to interact with the native agent integrated into the browser and search the web.
On the other hand, there are Neon Do and Neon Make. It is possible to automate routine tasks such as filling out forms, making purchases or booking hotels. Content such as reports, code or an entire website can also be generated from a single instruction. In addition, Opera Neon is capable of running several of its creations in parallel.
‘We are at a point where AI can radically transform the way we use the internet and perform all kinds of tasks in the browser,‘ says Henrik Lexow, Senior AI Product Director at Opera. “Opera Neon makes this available to users.”
’We want it to be a collaborative platform with which to define, together with our community, the next generation of agent-based browsing,’ says Lexow.
