The Four Tech Professionals in Demand to Build the Metaverse

“The most important revolution of the Metaverse will occur in the workplace because of the need for different types of professional skills,” says The Bridge.

The Metaverse has not yet fully materialised, but technology giants such as Facebook, Google, Nvidia and Microsoft are promoting this kind of parallel universe that will be accessible with the help of virtual and augmented reality devices.

This alternative space to the physical environment will allow everyday actions to be carried out and will enhance the value of certain professions.

“The most important revolution of the Metaverse will take place in the field of employment due to the different types of technological profiles that will be needed to create these new virtual worlds,” explains Iker Arce, CEO of the digital talent accelerator The Bridge.

“Once the new computers and devices are developed, opportunities will start to appear in services accessible with this new technology,” he says. “And there will be many computer programming companies that will be shaping the Metaverse”.

“The arrival of this new technology may at first glance appear to be challenging but specialising in the areas of work that will shape the Metaverse is a huge job opportunity, accessible not only to young people who will soon begin their studies to join the labour market, but also to professionals who are already working and want to opt for professions with higher rates of employability and growth,” Arce stresses.

In addition, The Bridge believes that four professionals are particularly valued, starting with software experts, as they will be implementing the underlying structure of the Metaverse.

Professionals with expertise in persistent and storable software or computer graphics will be vital. Meanwhile, UX/UI Product Designers will give the Metaverse visual coherence.

The possibility of cybercrime will increase the demand for cybersecurity experts. And the need to collect data and process it will put a premium on Data Scientists and Big Data experts.
