ASUS Unveils NVIDIA RTX A5500-Compatible Servers

Its ASUS Pro E500 G7 workstation also includes Nvidia’s new GPU, plus an Intel Xeon W-series processor.

NVIDIA has a new graphics card aimed at creators: the NVIDIA RTX A5500. And manufacturers are starting to release devices compatible with this technology.

ASUS will include this GPU in its ASUS Pro E500 G7 workstation, which is intended to accelerate multithreaded application rendering, simulation projects and real-time ray tracing.

In addition to the NVIDIA RTX A5500, it features an Intel Xeon W-series processor and a pair of 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports.

Several ASUS servers will also support this new graphics technology, including the RS720A-E11-RS24U, RS700A-E11-RS12U and ESC4000-E11, all of which support up to eight RTX A5500 GPUs.

NVIDIA’s approach combines next-generation CUDA, RT and Tensor cores with 24 GB of graphics memory for complex design and visualization workflows.

ASUS servers and workstation supporting this GPU will support the NVIDIA Omniverse Enterprise 3D design and simulation platform.
