Cybersecurity For FC Barcelona’s New Stadium

Cybersecurity for FC Barcelona's new stadium

Fortinet will be the cybersecurity partner for the future Spotify Camp Nou stadium for the next three seasons until June 30, 2028.

FC Barcelona and Fortinet have signed a sponsorship agreement that will see Fortinet become the new official cybersecurity partner of Espai Barça. Under the agreement, FC Barcelona will create a secure digital environment for its Spotify Camp Nou facilities using Fortinet’s Security Fabric platform.

FC Barcelona has set itself the goal of transforming Espai Barça into an international innovation center at the forefront of new technologies. To achieve this, the Spanish soccer club wants to integrate the most innovative technologies into the new stadium.

Cybersecurity improves the visitor and user experience

Under the agreement, FC Barcelona will implement Fortinet’s Security Fabric platform, including FortiGate firewalls, to secure the stadium’s Wi-Fi, OT infrastructure and data center. Fortinet’s Zero Trust Network Access and endpoint security will protect users and devices accessing applications from any location. In addition, centralized management with AI-powered security analytics will provide comprehensive network visibility. These technologies will integrate seamlessly with FC Barcelona’s existing IT investments, increasing security and efficiency throughout the Spotify Camp Nou.

“Espai Barça must be the catalyst for the club’s digital transformation and cybersecurity is a fundamental pillar. Our alliance with Fortinet ensures that our facilities have the most advanced protection and a secure digital environment for all visitors to the stadium,” says Juli Guiu, Vice President of Marketing at FC Barcelona.
