D-Link Launches Multi-Gigabit Switch for Small Offices

D-Link DMS-106XT, which arrives in an unmanaged form factor, is equipped with five 2.5 Gigabit ports and one 10 Gigabit LAN port.

D-Link is launching a multi-gigabit switch on the market to enable advanced users and small offices to make the leap to 2.5 and 10 Gigabit. And, in this way, facilitate access to NAS units, servers, workstations and 8K streaming services, among other possibilities.

In other words, it seeks to democratise access to multigabit networks, with a recommended price of 219 euros.

The D-Link DMS-106XT, as it is called, is equipped with five 2.5 Gigabit ports and one 10 Gigabit LAN port.

The 2.5 Gigabit ports can be used to deploy WiFi 6 access points, while the 10 Gigabit port serves as a link to the network core if integrated as an edge switch.

This device comes in an unmanaged form factor, which means that no technical expertise is required. Features include a Turbo mode to prioritise bandwidth for the most demanding devices.
