HP Launches New Latex Printers

HP Latex 730 and HP Latex 830 are large-format, water-based solutions for small and medium-sized print service providers.

HP is introducing new products in its HP Latex family for the large format segment. These are the HP Latex 730 and HP Latex 830 Printers.

Aimed at small and medium-sized printers, they have a focus on sustainability. They are EPEAT Climate+ registered machines, as is the HP Latex 630.

They use UL ECOLOGO-certified water-based HP Latex Inks and are compatible with recyclable fibre media.

HP provides the option to reduce waste with returnable supplies, such as the new long-life maintenance cartridge that extends the life of the cartridge, via HP Planet Partners.

Meanwhile, Sustainability Amplifier software offers print service providers self-assessment tools, recommendations and expertly developed environmental practices.

Beyond environmental friendliness, the latest additions by HP Latex focus on issues such as print quality and cost reduction.

HP Pixel Control promises consistent image quality with fewer passes. The integrated spectrophotometer contributes to colour consistency and facilitates customised colour profiles.

The new printers are equipped with universal replaceable printheads for 4-point text and enable automated duplex printing.

Spindle-less front loading simplifies media placement, while the output platen reduces media waste.

In the particular case of the HP Latex 830, operating costs are further reduced with 3-litre ink cartridges.

Other features include instant dry prints to avoid waiting and the addition of HP PrintOS Production Hub software to streamline workflows, order management and remote production from a centralised platform.

‘With the new HP Latex 730 and HP Latex 830 Series, the real innovation is on the inside,’ said Daniel Martinez, general manager, large format business, HP.

‘It’s the nitty-gritty details that make the difference, from HP Pixel Control to the new output platen that allows print service providers to work with precision,’ he said.

‘This new series represents our commitment to unmatched quality, improved production and a sustainable approach,’ he says.
